Victorian Club Relays 2009 - 9th August

Friday, 10 July 2009

The 2009 Victorian Club Relays will be held on the southern half of the Plenty River map.  The assembly area is on the Maroondah pipe track, only a couple of hundred metres from the back fences of houses.  The area is varied with plenty of tracks, patches of thick scrub, some cliffs and erosion, and a few rather steep sections on the longer courses.  Every course will visit a spectator control adjacent to the assembly area about -thirds of the way through their course, so there will be plenty of chances to cheer on your fellow relay team-mates. The course format this year will be different from the past, as there will be no age classes.  There will be four courses available, and on each course, Male, Female and Mixed Gender teams can enter.

Courses A is the longest, with three 6 km legs, B and C are shorter while course D has one moderate navigation and two easy navigation legs of different lengths.  Course details are as follows:

Course A:  6.0 km legs, (all Hard to Moderate navigation);
Course B:  4.3 km legs, (all Hard to Moderate navigation);
Course C:  3.0 km legs, (all Hard to Moderate navigation);
Course D:  4.3 km (Moderate.),  3.0 km (Easy),  2.1 km (Very Easy).

Open the 2009 Victorian Club Relay Teams entry form which can be completed and sent to Russell Bulman via:  bulman1@aapt.net.au  before Thursday July 31st.  Or else entries and payments can be sent to the address on the entry form.  In the event that teams need to be changed, please give me as much notice as you can.  Any questions can be directed to me on 03 9431 1453 (a.h.)
